Beware of flash sales
Wartune is running so-called "flash sales" lately, which are supposed to be a great deal. But don't fall to them! Initially, flash sales counted for spender events, but not anymore. Since there are usually multiple spender events running, you can get 20-30% or more bonus to your spendings in form of items. When you don't get this in flash sale, it will be worse than a usual sale. Here is this particular "pearl":
10 balen / bead, great sale? Then see the plain regular shop item:
You can buy 30 Aerial Fleet Chest for 1170 balens, and exchange it for 100 beads of influence, and claim all the bonus packs. But if you saved up some discount coupons, you can get a much better deal. Which won't work for the flash sale - since the coupon applies to a 2k balen purchase, and they sell it for 1999 :)
I'm not saying you should buy beads of influence, but it is an important item. It's a cash-only since it came into the game, and without it, your are stunned for rounds in pvp. But it gets cheaper every month. And one day it will start flowing into the game for free, and it will rot in your inventory after you maxed it out :)
If you were super-smart, then you waited with activating your Ancient Treasure until the 2nd day, and claimed both big and epic spender 10k rewards for completely free. So thats like 90 free chests, 300 free beads of influence... I messed this up, used ancient treasure before the patch. But I think this is the reason why I still keep playing: because I have to pay attention, I can make mistakes. I can be better than others, because they make even more mistakes :)
Your forum is great. Has been a ton of help. Any chance you will do a breakdown for this events chests. I'm on a 1.5 month old server and not sure what to do with my boxes, open or exchange and for what. Med casher here

DeleteI'm not a gamble fan, and most of the contents are junk; but there are some good exchanges, so I would go for those as well:
1.) The best deal is the beads of influence exchange. Beads are still cash-only items, and stun is a deciding factor in pvp. get as much from this event as you can.
2.) S quality clothes are good as well. Try to at least grab armor and helm/weapon (depending if you are mage or archer/knight).
3.) If you can save 10-10 chest for the mythical pieces, that's cool too.
4.) Mount: now with beast shards, it's just to expensive. There is a high probability you can get this mount for beast shards in the future, at 1/3 price.
So my suggestion: get 2 cloth pieces at least (no wing!), and as much beads as you can, and exchange the remaining chests for titan stone/shard.
I did ancient treasure the first day too, because I didn't know how long it would last. I also didn't know what kind of big spender event will happen the next day, just that the current epic spender event expires at midnight.
ReplyDeleteI have a character on S40 (oceanic server). Every day, at 18pm, I log in there, and check what events they will have on the next day. It can help to decide for some events if I should wait or do it right away. Also help me to decide if I have to stay up until 1am to do "once per day" events +1 time :)
DeleteBtw, I have read on the forum that someone could do all the previous 3 spender events still with ancient treasures. I wonder how he did it, since the spender events expired at midnight, and the ancient treasure was alive only after that?
DeleteOn my server Armor S6, Ancient Treasure appeared before midnight, maybe around 2200-ish. So for us and anyone else in the same boat, we were able to cash in on the previous spender events before they expired ahead of the maintenance. I think I still would've rather waited, simply because I'd rather have a few extra of this event's chests than the last ones that I didn't need, but at least it wasn't a waste.

DeleteI got 20 Gifts of God from Flash Sales a few days ago and it counted in the spending events.
ReplyDeleteGot stuff from Flash Sales before and it never counted for spending events but this time it did. for some reason.
Yes earlier it counter for me as well, but last time when I bought a flash sale, it didn't. So right now, you can't count on it if it will work or not :(
